What is Google Business Profile?
Google Business Profile is a free tool that allows you to manage the display of your locations (offices, business units, stores, etc.) in Google Search, Maps and other Google services. Once you've confirmed your location, you can add your content such as title, images, contact details, activities and more. Your GBP account also provides you with analytical data on the footfall of each store and allows you to respond to your customers' reviews and ratings.
According to Google, as many as half of "Near me" or local searches result in a visit to a branch. To achieve the best local results, it's crucial that your data for each branch is validated, accurate and optimised as much as possible for searches outside your core business.
[INSTRUCTIONS] HOW DO I VERIFY MY BRANCHES IN GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILES?
To successfully create or validate a location, you must have a Google account that can be used to access the Google Business Profile dashboard. The process of adding/confirming a single location is slightly different from adding multiple locations of the same business.
Sign in to your Google Business Profile account:
- You can use any email address you have previously registered with Google, for example marketing@vasepodjetje.si. We recommend that you choose this option.
- You can also use any personal Google email address with the extension .....@gmail.com.
Add your branch:
- You can search for your company or business by name or address, as it probably already exists in Google's database.
- If you can't find it, create and add a new location.
Edit key information:
- Add basic information such as address, opening hours, telephone, website, etc.
- You will also be able to complete and update your information after the validation process is complete.
Confirm or verify your branch - you have several options:
- Confirmation by post - order a postcard with a pin code via the post office, where delivery usually takes a week or two. If the letter is lost or goes in the bin, the process has to be repeated.
- Confirmation by phone - sometimes the company has the option to confirm the location over the phone, which is rare. If you see this option, then go for it as it shortens the whole process and saves you time. You will receive a call or text message with a pin code which you can write down and use to confirm.
- Confirmation via email - the same as on your phone, if this option exists, you can select it and search your inbox for Google email. Then click the confirm button and follow the link.
- Large-scale validation - If your business operates in more than 10 locations under the same brand name, then you are likely to be eligible for bulk verification. When validating, you need to select the Chain option and fill in the verification form with all the required information. You will then need to wait a week or two for Google to process your request. This option takes a little longer, but it is necessary to have the data ready and processed according to Google's guidelines.
Optimise your data
After validation, there are still a few activities to be done to optimise the search results for your branches. Add as much information as you have available: profile picture, other pictures, logo, main and additional activities, attributes... We also recommend that you log in to your GBP account periodically and:
- follow Google updates and confirm or update your information;
- checking and responding to your customers' reviews and opinions in a timely manner;
- It is also useful to post news and events that are highlighted next to your branch.
Display on Google search

Once you've verified your offices on Google, you can make it easier for your customers to find information about your business online, including opening hours, contact details, directions, etc.
You can also let them call you quickly and with a click from their smartphones.
Your next customer may be just a click away!
Display on Google map

Accurate and up-to-date data on Google is the face of your business. Your brand's reputation and credibility increases, both in the eyes of search engines and your customers. At the same time, local search results are improved.
Once confirmed, rich analytics are also available to give you insight into your customers' behaviour in relation to a specific location.
