Local search is increasingly important as people search for businesses or services based on location, either online or on mobile devices. Recently, however, some restrictions have been introduced and it is currently only showing the top 3 results, as shown in the image below. For more hits, you need to click on \"More places\". Now more than ever, it is important to confirm your Google Business Profile<\/a><\/strong> for each location where you do business. Once confirmed, you will need to optimise your display by adding content such as contact details, photos, opening hours, and adding relevant attributes, categories and keyword descriptions that best represent your business.<\/p>

This can significantly increase your chances of ranking in Google search results and maps.<\/p>

Your customers' opinions matter.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>

Your customers' reviews are one of the most important aspects for ranking your business and attracting new customers. It is recommended that you encourage customers to review your business, service or products, as Google displays customer reviews and ratings next to your listing (see image below). Research shows that 88 % of consumers check customer reviews before making a purchase decision. Other directories such as Facebook<\/strong>, <\/a>make this possible, so the opinions of your customers are definitely something you should not ignore.<\/p>

Add data to other maps and directories.<\/strong><\/h4>

It is very important to add the same content to other maps such as Here, Apple Maps or TomTom, as their data is displayed in many web portals and mobile apps.<\/p>
